Poems

I wrote this in one of my sketch books. The drawings are the tittle. This is a poem that just came to me one day. I think I drew the heart and brain first.

Lie

Gavin Henderson

8/12/16

No matter how beautiful, a lie is still a lie

It doesn't matter how hard you cry

It doesn't matter how much you deny

A lie is still a lie

The dream where I could fly,

It was just a lie.

When I won the game and broke the tie,

Just another lie.

I told you I didn't eat the last piece of pie,

Delicious, but a lie is still a lie.

Even worse, the bound of you and I.

I know, I'm sorry but it's a lie.

Our love so strong I can't deny!

Yes, another lie.

Don't worry I will always be your guy,

Surprisingly, this is not a lie.

Us together is the lie

It was beautiful, that we can't deny.

Look me in the eye,

There is no need to cry,

I already know.

Even you are a lie.

Rain In Spain

The rain in Spain mostly falls in pain

Hold your eyes in shame

Look at all you have to gain.

Not just fortune and fame,

But the freedom to be sane.

May your favor shine so I can do the same.

Break free of this endless game

And remove my heart's horrible stain.

The hope draws us like a moth to a flame

No longer will the rain in Spain fall in pain.

Rain In Spain

Bloody murder bloody murder!

The voices scream in my head.

Even though the medicine I've been takin

calms them and the screams.

 But still, they keep messin.

Around, and around the thought goes

I keep hearing and I keep seein it in my head

Enemies down!

All bloody and dead

Lifeless on the cold hard grown.

I don't enjoy this thought

You can tell by my frown.

But a lesson had to learn

And they had to be taught.

For my light and life, I still yearn.

Because of you this battle we fought.
