Gavin Henderson

There are so many great artists that have inspired me. It is pretty had to choose one that inspired me the most. However, growing up, one of my favorite shows was Batman: The Animated Series. So I guess I would have to say that Bruce Timm is a major influence to me and is why I'm an artist today. Mr. Timm's work is incredible, to say the least. His work is very distinct. His use of colors and even his linework are elegant. I admire the dynamic poses he uses; even in profile, his characters look as if they are just at rest, but could spring to life. I feel that there is a sophisticated simplicity in his work. When I was younger, I remember always trying to draw his characters, especially Batman. I thank Mr. Timm for introducing me to Batman and inspiring me to draw.
